The conference “Filmed Learning Experiences” gathered experts, professionals and students in order to discuss and propose film literacy initiatives in Europe.
The Media Programme of the European Commission, UNESCO and other institutions in the industry as well as academia participated in debates in order to get to know the objects and methods of learning about film literacy at schools in Europe and propose new lines of action.
The event is organized by the European project Filmed, the Department of Communication and Education of the Autonomous University of Barcelona and the Film Library of Catalonia. Members of the Network of Young Journalists UNESCO also participated in the event.
In the sessions experiences on issues such as the legal framework and the obstacles faced by schools to develop film literacy were presented and discussed.
