During the meeting, “Community Policies in the Field of Media Literacy”, organized by the MEDIA Desk Spain office in collaboration with ICAA-Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts, Professor José Manuel Pérez Tornero, scientific coordinator of FilmEd, had the opportunity to present the study as part of his lecture on “How to insert film in schools”.
Other key topics were addressed such as the brand new Creative Europe Programme 2014-2020 and the new MEDIA sub-programme, as well as Media Literacy under the EC perspective: the state of arts, further developments and, in particular, film literacy in schools curricula.
The meeting was held on November the 19th and was inaugurated by Susana de la Sierra, Director General of ICAA. Among the participants there were Jesús Hernández, Director of the Media Desk Office Spain; Cristina Tresserres, Director of the European Observatory on Children’s Television; Matteo Zacchetti, Deputy Chief of the DG Information Society and Media Unit; and Carmen Bureau, Director General of Poliedro.
